It's amazing how quickly time seems to fly...
It was two years ago today that I was unexpectedly transferred from Sullivan Correctional Facility, where I spent the past twenty-eight years, to where I am now.
It was hard to leave behind my church family, and I didn’t even have the chance to say goodbye. They were men whom I spent much of my time with. We fought against the forces of darkness together, too. We did these battles on our knees in prayer. We were truly a band of spiritual brothers who fought the good fight of faith side by side, while learning to be patient, forgiving and loving to one another. I miss them more than words could express.
But while it was emotionally painful and traumatic to be so suddenly uprooted and taken away from my family, I thank God that I have at least been replanted into another spiritual family here at Shawangunk. God has His people in every place.
