I’ve no doubt the Devil has been trying to kill me...
He wants to bump me off and send me into eternity before my time, and this is not a paranoid delusion. It’s a biblical truth which lets me know I’ve got a formidable enemy who’s out to get me.
Thankfully, Satan has not been successful in his attempts, although I’ve had some close calls, especially in the area of my health.
As funny as it may sound, the Devil reminds me of a “hitman” for the Mafia. He patiently and persistently pursues his selected targets, and I’m one of them, but because the Lord is watching over me, his time to strike never comes.
Yet I must, as a disciple of Christ, always remain alert and vigilant as this is not a joking matter. He’s a killer, and he’s dangerous. And while I have no fear of the Prince of Darkness, I cannot lower my guard and sleep on him, either.
