For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus for good works, which God has prepared
beforehand, that we should walk in them.

I know from my own experience how Satan can trick us into seeing only our sins and shortcomings, rather than seeing ourselves as individuals whose sins have been forgiven, forever, through the blood of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Even though the Lord made provisions for us not to sin through giving us His Spirit and by knowing and using the Scriptures, the fact is, we do at times sin. And this, I believe, is where the devil scores a big victory against the child of God.
Remember that Satan is a liar. So whatever negative thoughts and feelings come our way when we slip and sin, it is usually his doing. He then combines this with our own doubts. He knows what buttons to push to keep the Christian feeling condemned and discouraged.
But God’s Word lets me know I’m a work in progress. Even now, Christ is working in the areas of my life where I am weak in. He knows my flesh needs to be crucified, daily. Yet this takes a lifetime.
In Christ, old things are passed away. A new life has now begun (2 Corinthians 5:17).
