I don't know why God made so many kinds of bugs, but I'm sure there was a reason...
I'll ask Him when I get to Heaven. Yet what I do know is that the presence of lots of annoying bugs, especially the biting kind, is a legitimate sign that summer has arrived. And it has, because in addition to scores of flying insects was the unmistakable stench of skunks. It's an odor that I've encountered many times before when I was housed at my former facility, and here too, as both prisons are surrounded by woodland.
I've been feeling very tired of late, exhausted, really. So I wanted to make sure I took the opportunity this evening to get fresh air. I'm glad I did. In spite of the bugs and stink, I had a good workout. It was invigorating, and it seemed to lift my tiredness along with the heavy spirit I've been under. I stayed outside until the yard's closing at 10 o'clock.
