Behold, He that keepeth Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Psalm 121:4
Being that the Jewish holiday known as Passover has now begun, and because April is the month for remembering the Holocaust, I think this is a good time to honor my fellow Jews who lost their lives for being Jewish...
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Psalm 121:4
Being that the Jewish holiday known as Passover has now begun, and because April is the month for remembering the Holocaust, I think this is a good time to honor my fellow Jews who lost their lives for being Jewish...
Today I prayed for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). But I also prayed for the eyes of my fellow Jews to be opened so that they may come to know and understand that Yeshua (Jesus) is their Messiah. If the Spirit of the living God did not open my eyes when He did, I would never have understood this wonderful truth.
Thus, with the Holocaust in mind, I went to the library to borrow one of my favorite books, ANNE FRANK: THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL. She's been a big inspiration to me as I do prison time. I've written about Anne Frank before in this journal, and I am doing so again.
In addition, I plucked from my own little bookshelf another important book for such a time as this. My own copy of KRISTALLNACHT: PRELUDE TO DESTRUCTION, by author and historian, Martin Gilbert. Kristallnacht is better known in America as "The Night of Broken Glass," which was the start of the Holocaust in Germany that quickly spread throughout much of Europe.
I wrote about Anne Frank on May 23 and 24 in 2008, and about The Night of Broken Glass in an entry dated January 2, 2011. I will never forget, and I will never cease praying.
