This is the day that the Lord has made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
For many Christians, today is officially Good Friday...
we will rejoice and be glad in it.

However, I myself am not big on giving extra significance to certain days, although I'm okay with those who do. As a believer in the Lord Jesus, I'd like to think of every day as being special, and as a gift from God.
Just this morning, I was telling several of the guys who belong to our chapel's fellowship group, how God has made us to be lighthouses of hope for our fellow inmates who are trying to navigate and find their way in the oppressive darkness of the prison environment. That we need to be something like candles of hope in this place.
After all, Jesus had come to earth to seek and to save those who are lost in their sins, like I was. So whether it's Good Friday for those of us who are religiously-minded, or if it is only another day to someone like me, it's a good day nonetheless. And I'm rejoicing in it. Everyone should.
