shall flow rivers of living water.

And now that I am undergoing a season of tiredness and exhaustion, I have to admit that I long for the quiet that a cabin nestled deep in the woods could provide, or being able to sit on a rock overlooking the banks of the ocean to experience the hypnotic effect of the waves as they slap against the seashore. Such luxuries would, I think, help to induce something of an inner healing of my soul as well as provide rest for my weary body.
None of this is possible, however, but because of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, there is available to me (and to every Christian) a river of living water. This being a spiritual river, invisible, yet real, that flows in and out of my innermost being. And it is this river, which in a supernatural way provides renewal and refreshment for my oft battered spirit.
Only those who truly know Christ can understand what I am talking about. I thank God for this river.
