"They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore
the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat."
Revelation 7:16
This summer has been a challenge for my body...
the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat."
Revelation 7:16
This summer has been a challenge for my body...
I don't recall a hotter and more humid summer than this one. So with September now here, I can breathe a sigh of relief. And my lungs can breathe better as well.
For me, September is a special month. As a tree lover, this month signifies that fall is on its way. And as for my friends, Miss Goldie and Mister Orange, this means it's time for them to soak in as much sunlight and rainwater as possible. Because very soon their now lush green leaves will soon begin to dry up as nature runs its course.
This, however, is good news for them. With fall in the air comes a sense of great expectation. It's the season when Miss Goldie and Mister Orange will begin to allow their leaves to morph into the brilliant colors these two trees are noted for.
For Miss Goldie, it's a yellow golden hue of dazzling magnitude which leaves the other trees jealous. While for Mister Orange, his intimidatingly radiant leaves which look as if they have been set ablaze by the sun, causes the other trees to lean aback in awe.
As for me, I'm hoping for a good show. And as a bonus, September means cooler temps along with a feel-good autumn nip that lingers in the air. It also means near perfect weather with low levels of humidity. It's the season of sweetness for many a soul.
