Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

I had a full and busy weekend, and my spirit feels very satiated right now...
A two-day Prison Fellowship seminar has just ended late this afternoon. This was a weekend for the Christians in this prison to be fed the "meat" of God's holy Word.
I thank God for the three members of the Prison Fellowship team who came here to spend the weekend with us (Pastor Don, brother Phil and sister Sylvia). We spent most of Saturday and Sunday with them, save for the times when we had to return to our respective cellblocks for meals and the regular facility head counts.
We only get these weekend seminars about once every two years. I am certainly grateful for the way in which the Holy Spirit continues to nourish me through God's Word, and through the lives of other Christians like these three ministers.
I learned a lot about being a soldier for Christ who is heavily engaged in spiritual conflict against Satan, as well as with an array of demonic powers who seek to destroy men's souls and take people captive in both mind and body. We learned what it is to be a "peacemaker" touching other lives with God's love. I felt that I had to repent for my own lack of love for others.
All said, this was a wonderful weekend of refreshing for my mind and spirit. But tomorrow, however, it's back to the daily tasks, mundane chores, and my regular work schedule. Still, I've been refreshed. I'm thankful.
