On August 16th Dr. Billy Graham's "Decision Today" radio program...
...aired portions of an interview I did with a man named Troy Thomas, back in March 2000. Decision Today took excerpts from this interview and worked it into a 25-minute testimony. I did not find out about this program until after it had already aired. But isn't God good? He is full of surprises!
It seems as if the Lord continues to give my testimony a life of its own. I do not have to do anything through human effort to try to "make things happen." I used to do this. But over the years the Lord, who is such a patient teacher, has shown me again and again that all I need to do is trust in Him. That He will take care of me and will not set me aside. My life is in His hands, and all I need to do is pray and leave everything to Him.
And what especially blessed me by being granted the privilege to share my faith on Dr. Graham's program is that, I believe, many prison inmates as well as people in hospitals and nursing homes, or who are otherwise "shut in," were able to hear the testimony and be encouraged. So did some of America's military personnel. For I have been getting an increasing desire to reach out more to our armed forces. I am always praying that God would keep them safe and would bless their lives. I believe that Decision Today is also aired over the Armed Forces Radio Network worldwide.
Praise the Lord! I humbly thank the Lord for this opportunity to share about God's love and forgiveness with people from all walks of life.
