"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

No, we do not. Our previous one retired in April of this year, and he has not been replaced. But as I have said before, by the grace of God, the prison's administration has allowed us to conduct weekend worship services and weekly Bible studies without the presence of a paid chaplain.
In a maximum security setting, such a thing is rare. To hold worship services and Bible studies unsupervised is a miracle. Yet such a privilege has been handed to us because our group, of about 30-35 men every Sunday, has demonstrated to the staff that we can be trusted. And it's the same for our Bible studies, where we average about 20-25 men per session.
This is all the Lord's doing. He's the good shepherd, and He is faithful to provide for His flock. As the Scripture declares, "Know for yourself that the Lord is God. He is the one who made us, and not ourselves. We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture" (Psalm 100:3).
All said, I am thankful to be in a place where the Lord Jesus is at work. He's changing lives by first changing our hearts. Likewise, we are being fed daily through His word. What more can I say? Messiah Jesus is both Shepherd and Lord, and I love Him.
