earth. You have set your glory above the heavens."
Psalm 8:1 KJV
It's a gorgeous Tuesday morning in early fall...
Last night I saw the first appearing of what is known as a Harvest Moon. There's supposed to be two other expected sightings of a Harvest Moon within the next few months as well. It's brilliant orange color was breathtaking. And I cannot help but wonder if it was a portent and a sign relating to humanity's future? Time will tell.
Meanwhile, last night I went outdoors from 8 to 10 PM. My cell block's recreation yard is where I will sometimes retreat to when I want to find peace and quiet. There are usually only a dozen or so men who stay outdoors at this time. While the earlier yard period, which runs from 6 to 8 PM, oftentimes brings out several dozen prisoners, and a much rowdier bunch.
In any event, I had the solitude I needed to clear my mind from the day's stresses. Looking upward to a dark sky, I saw the shimmering lights of the stars as they danced before my eyes. And there within the expanse of the universe I saw the handiwork of an amazing Creator.
