"And Jesus preached in their synagogues
Throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils."

Throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils."
Mark 1:39
Larry is homeless...
According to his parents who are friends of mine, their son and only child, has been living in the streets on and off for about ten years now. He's addicted to heroin and crack, and more than likely other drugs as well. And of course alcohol, too
His mom told me that, while he was always a "problem child," he really began to deteriorate in his late teens. Problems in school resulted in heated arguments with his dad. However, as his bouts of depression and emotional outbursts became more pronounced, he began to run away from home, often for days at a time.
But as his illness worsened, his departures from home became longer in duration. They went from days, to weeks, to months and even for a year or two, much to his parents’ dismay.
As devout people of faith, Larry's parents pray for him daily. So does the church they belong to. While I too have joined in on this, and so have the men in my fellowship.
Although I don't know Larry personally, when his mother told him how two dozen or so prisoners from New York were now in praying for him, his mom told me that he looked "startled." She wrote how he paused for a minute, "as if he was at a loss for words." He then asked if she was joking? She told him no. But went on to explain how this all came about, through her correspondence with me. She felt he was touched when he learned of this.
Although Larry took off again a few days later, his mom told me she sensed a change in his demeanor. He seemed more calm and not as hostile. One night he even sat across from her in their living room quietly watching his mom read her Bible. She'd never seen him do that before.
I know Larry is a deeply tormented soul who's being driven by his addiction, and by demons too. But those who love him are praying for him. They're believing that one day he's going to be set free from the bondage he's in. Nothing is too hard for the Lord.
"For with God nothing shall be impossible" (Luke 1:37 KJV).
