"For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
Philippians 1:21 KJV
What more can I say?
Philippians 1:21 KJV
What more can I say?
I dodged the Angel of Death once again. To the Lord Jesus be the praise and the glory. It was a close call, and a victory for those who'd been praying for me. My body battled a serious infection which was bad enough to put me in an outside hospital for almost a week, and then into the prison's Infirmary for over a month.
Nevertheless, had I died from this now gone infection, it would've worked out for my benefit. This being my going to heaven to be in the actual presence of the Lord Jesus.
Just think, right now had I passed away, I'd be hanging out with Moses and King David, and with saint Peter and the apostle Paul. Oh, and of course with all my many friends who have already died and gone to Heaven before me.
Truly, I can confess that God has been good to me. He has not punished me for the many sins I committed against Him. Instead, He has allowed me to thrive both physically and spiritually as I live out my days inside a maximum security prison. And in an environment where many of its residents experience an array of negative emotions such as loneliness and depression, along with feelings of anger, frustration and hopelessness, Christ has allowed me to triumph over these things.
By the grace of God, I have not succumbed to the dark forces of gloom and despair. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, I have stayed on course. And I hope to remain faithful to the Lord until I am home, this being heaven.
