And Jesus said to His disciples, "Go into the
world and preach the gospel to everyone."

world and preach the gospel to everyone."
Mark 16:15
As I wrote in my previous journal entry, Sam and Roxanne were
two of my best friends...
...whom I have known for well over thirty years. As devout people of faith, they reached out to me after learning that I had given my heart to Jesus Christ. Although we first met as strangers, we realized that God was behind this, and almost immediately our hearts became knit together in Christian
love.
Sam, passed away in 2017, and Roxanne left to join him this past April. I miss them and cannot wait to see them again. While for now, life goes on. But I definitely want to honor and acknowledge the work they have done to further the gospel.
Truly, Roxanne was one of a kind. As a devoted friend and "sister" in Christ, along with being my "spiritual mother" and mentor, she was all about evangelism. And almost all the ministry work she did revolved around spreading the good news that Jesus has come to forgive our sins, and to give us a new life of serving and loving Him.
Knowing Roxanne for several decades, I can attest to her beautiful heart. She was a woman who loved her family and her church, and loved people from all walks of life. And most of all, she loved the Lord.
I saw her zeal for souls, as well. And as a result of that zeal and her love for God, one day Roxanne decided to write a book about her work as a follower of Christ, and about her friendship with me. And so she set out on her own to put a book together that would tell the world about an amazing story of redemption that would bring hope to many empty and hurting souls.
This wife and homemaker was not only an evangelist, but she became an author as well, writing page upon page in her spare time until her manuscript was finally done. Then with God's help and guidance, and having no publishing experience, she contacted a company which specializes in helping people to get their manuscript made into a book.
From Son of Sam to Son of Hope; The Amazing Story of David Berkowitz, is now another part of her legacy to bring honor to her Savior.
