"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
His faithful love endures forever."

Finally!
His faithful love endures forever."
Psalm 118:1 NLT
Finally!
After many weeks of continuous praying, I'm now on my way to a new location. At this time, I'm in the process of packing my belongings, to include my mattress and bedding. Everything must come with me as I get ready to move to another housing unit. Same prison and mailing address, however, just a different building.
I've been living in the same housing unit for over five years. But now it looks as if the Lord needs me someplace else. And that's fine with me. The building I've been housed in has changed a lot, and not for the better. And so, when the floor officer came to my cell this morning to tell me to pack my things, I took it as good news.
And that's what I have now spent several hours doing - packing my things, including my beloved typewriter. Moving is an all-day process. Everything has to be carried down to the first floor and carefully loaded into a large shipping cart. And once that's done, I and the inmate who volunteered to help me, will then push the cart over to the building I'll be living at. Next, we'll unload the cart and carry my possessions upstairs to my new cell, which I will first have to clean before I put anything in it.
So with all my belongings now in the transport wagon, I said my goodbyes to the friends I'll be leaving behind. But I'll still be seeing them since I'm not leaving the facility, only the housing unit.
And we're off! My helper will be well tipped for his work. And within a few days I should be settled in. Moving at this time is good for me. It was an answer to prayer, and a gift from God. Therefore, I give thanks to my wonderful Lord for His kindness and goodness. Amen!
