I just sent off an email to a friend in another country…
I told him I had a busy morning. I had to take a fellow prisoner to the infirmary for his medical treatments. I'm a “Mobility Assistant.” I help the handicap men get around the facility in their wheelchairs.
I also work as a clerk for the Christian chaplain. I help out with the paperwork as well as tidy up the chaplain's office by doing some basic cleaning. I don't mind emptying trash cans or scrubbing out the chapel's toilet bowls as needed.
Most of all, I try to stay close to Jesus with my mind fixed on Him, and my heart knit together with Him in love. Likewise, it's the same for all those in our fellowship group. We're a team and a family. We're what the holy Scriptures tell us to be, and what Messiah Jesus wants us to be, a “household of faith.”
“And as we therefore have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10 KJV).
