As I look out upon the world scene…
…I am certain the Lord's coming for His bride, the church, is getting closer. I've no doubt that perhaps very soon I will see the Lord Jesus face to face. How in an instant of time, I will find myself in heaven. And not just me, but millions upon millions of my fellow “born again” believers will be there too.
It's the moment I long for. And even if this yet to come glorious event is still many years away, each minute brings me closer to the day when it will happen. Most assuredly, heaven is nearer now than when I first believed. And if I should die before the Lord calls the church into glory, I will still be there. Why? Because as the Scriptures declare, “The dead in Christ shall rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-18).
I know in my heart that I have a home awaiting me in heaven, and I am eager to get there. It's a place that will outshine the Sun.
