The days are flying past, and they're hot, muggy ones at that…
Thus, the going has been rough. Between the heat and high humidity, life has its challenges. In addition, so many of my friends on the outside are facing their own challenges and trials. Several of them have had to lay their loved ones to rest. While others are dealing with serious medical and health issues. Some with themselves, while others with their loved ones, or both.
Life is not an endless joyride. It's really a bittersweet ordeal. But no matter what we may have to face in life, we can rest assured that the Lord Jesus is always with us. That He will never leave nor forsake us. Simply put, this is what I've been sharing via letters to select friends who are presently going through tough times.
Being that I love to encourage others, I will remind them how the entire human family has to, at times, face disappointments and difficulties, along with hardships and tragedies. But for those who have placed their faith and trust in Messiah Jesus, He has promised us the grace and the inner strength, and the patience to see us through. I like to call it “getting help from above.”
As believers in the Lord, we cannot allow weariness and impatience to overtake us. Instead, we should do our best to encourage ourselves in Him. We need to keep praying for both ourselves and others, and to do exactly what the Word of God instructs us to do: “As we have the opportunity, let us do good unto everyone, especially of those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10).
So pray for others, and do your best to encourage them, because we're all in this together.
