The Christian community here at Shawangunk Correctional Facility…
…wishes to thank all our prayer partners from all walks of life for keeping us in your prayers. We serve a miracle working God for whom nothing is impossible. And I have personally experienced this truth for myself. What man cannot do, the Lord can.
We now have a new chaplain to oversee the flock. Our previous pastor retired well over a year ago. But in spite of not having an officially assigned chaplain, we found much favor with the prison's administration. They allowed our worship services and Bible studies to continue, even with little to no oversight.
Such a thing would be unheard of in a maximum-security setting where a majority of the inmates, including myself, are doing lengthy sentences. Many of us were sentenced to life, even to “life without the possibility of parole.”
Yet, as I have said many times, “God is busy behind prison walls saving souls, restoring broken lives, and bringing healing and hope to multitudes of prisoners all throughout the world.” And He is likewise restoring broken families, as well. He is even making ways for victims of crime to heal from the trauma they've experienced.
With God nothing shall be impossible! That is what the Word of God declares. And I believe it!
