"My enemies, whom I have never
harmed, hunted me down like a bird."
Lamentations 3:52 NLT
It's not something I like to discuss, but the truth is...
harmed, hunted me down like a bird."
Lamentations 3:52 NLT
It's not something I like to discuss, but the truth is...
...I have enemies who pursue me daily. Some of whom are human, while others are from the spirit realm. The latter of which are demons, and this includes the devil himself.
However, it's nothing to be alarmed about. Because anyone who has renounced both sin and Satan, and has accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord, is going to experience varying degrees of trouble and hardship. The holy Bible confirms this. "Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:16 NLT).
And with this in mind, my haters stay in hot pursuit. Energetic and determined, they refuse to quit. Yet in a way, I count it all joy. Their rage reveals to me that I'm going in the right direction. I must be having a good effect upon those who have heard my story of forgiveness, redemption, and hope, and now want the same for themselves.
And this translates into problems for the devil. He hates when lost souls decide to turn from their sinful ways and choose to follow Jesus instead. And of no surprise, he will gather his followers to come against individuals like me who do what we can to point people to salvation.
Yet, in all frankness, within the past several years I have noticed an increase of men and women who wish me harm. In podcasts and on the Internet, in chatrooms and elsewhere, "Berkowitz Bashers," are showing up. They howl and hiss and cuss and tell lies about me. But thanks to the Lord and His hands of divine protection, I have been kept safe and mentally strong, while remaining fully focused on what God has called me to do.
Although this journey of faith can at times become grueling and challenging and exhausting, I have learned that as I continue to look to Jesus and not to my circumstances, His grace will always be sufficient. My hope rests in Him alone.
As for those who hate and pursue me, I will keep them in my prayers. While I don't like what they do, I understand that their minds are being held captive by a being who has blinded them. He is using them with the intention to cause me harm. But he will not win. In fact, he has already lost.
