The Lord told His disciples to be of good cheer…
…because He has already overcome the world. And I'm glad that He has. While the outspoken apostle Paul, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, said to his protégé Timothy, who was a young pastor in training, “O man of God, seek after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:11-12).
Thus, for me, as a man who like Timothy still has much to learn, I too want to stay faithful to the call that Messiah Jesus has placed upon my life. As it is no small thing to serve the Almighty God, and to be an ambassador and a representative for Him while I'm on this earth.
So, I, by the grace of God, seek to live out my life in prison in a way that honors Him. And even though the Lord still has a lot of work yet to do within my heart, I want to remain faithful to Him. I never want to revert back to my sinful and rebellious ways.
Therefore, by the inner strength He has already bestowed upon me, I hereby stand with the Holy Spirit against all the forces of darkness and satanic opposition which at times comes upon me, to include the devil himself, and all his demon co-workers.
And regarding those individuals who may hate and dislike me for whatever reasons, I'm okay with that. I will continue to pray for them with love in my heart. I wish peace to all of you.
In closing, I felt it was important to say this now as a hot summer has arrived, and the first half of this year has already brought many intense trials and challenges my way.
But whatever the case may be, the Scriptures remind me that “Greater is He (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit), who is living inside me, than the devil that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
