"Have I not commanded you: Be strong and of good courage. Be not
afraid, nor dismayed. For the Lord God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9
As I mentioned in my previous entry, several challenging and troubling situations have arisen...

Joshua 1:9
As I mentioned in my previous entry, several challenging and troubling situations have arisen...
It's not the first time they've showed up, and I'm sure it won't be the last. But what they've done is to cause me to draw closer to Jesus, and to pray more, which is a good thing.
Looking at it from the positive side, however, I'd like to say, "When my blood pressure goes up, I need to go down." Down on my knees, that is. And that's what I've been doing. I've been asking the Lord for guidance and wisdom, as well as for strength and peace.
Thus, in one of my quiet times with God, I believe He spoke the following words into my heart: "David, be strong and courageous. Do not fear those who despise you. Though they seek to ruin you and make false accusations against you, keep standing in the faith while continuing to pray for their souls.
"My love for you, My son, is greater than their hatred for you. So let them roar. Pay no mind to their threats. Rather, praise Me instead, with songs of deliverance, just as your ancestors did in times past.
"Look to Me and live. Use your eyes of faith and my words of victory to overcome them. Though they be loud and boisterous, and their teeth be sharp, with Me as your shield, you will be just fine."
With this said, I want to shout, "Amen!"
