"A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power."
Ephesians 6:10 NLT

more thank the Lord for His faithfulness...

Without Him, I would not have survived these forty-seven years of incarceration. Today, thanks to Messiah Jesus, I have a sound mind along with a sense of purpose and mission, which is to serve Him with joy, and to honor Him with my life.
Thanks to Jesus, I have a reason to get up in the morning. Not every prisoner can say this, however. I've heard many a tale of sorrow, regret and woe. And I once thought like this too. I saw myself as a criminal and a failure. I was a disgrace to my family. But when I invited Christ into my heart, and I confessed my sins to Him, things started to change.
As I began to read the Bible and attend the worship services in the prison's chapel, and fellowship with those who had already given their lives to the Lord, I started to see life differently. Prison began to lose its bleakness. Instead of seeing the cell bars that were holding me in, I began to look beyond my cage of concrete and steel, and saw the wide expanse of the sky.
And as time went on I saw the great potential in reaching beyond prison walls to a world of hurting, lonely, troubled souls who were feeling as empty as I once did. Who, although they were living on the outside, were just as unhappy as I used to be before I came to know the Lord.
But thanks to Jesus, my negative view of things is gone. Today I see myself as a man with purpose, and as a man on a mission for God. With the Lord all things are possible. And while my body remains confined, my mind is free to travel.
There's a world out there that needs to be reached with the universal message that Jesus saves, and how He will gladly welcome all who come to Him. The Lord will never turn away a hungry soul.
