"For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty Savior.
He will be glad and rejoice in you with gladness. With His love He
will calm your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."
Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
Perhaps out of curiosity, people would ask what my favorite verse in the Bible is...

Perhaps out of curiosity, people would ask what my favorite verse in the Bible is...
And I would always tell them, it's Zephaniah 3:17. Although scholars often refer to Zephaniah as a "minor" prophet, there's nothing minor here.
For me, it's a major verse, and one of the most beautiful verses in the entire Bible. Imagine, the Creator of the Universe looked down the corridors of time, and He saw me. And He saw the billions of others who would repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
And not only would He forgive us, He would love us too, accept us as His children. What intimacy! I'm one of the Lord's precious kids. Wow! In His eyes, I'm not an orphan. I'm not a lost sinner doomed for Hell. Rather, He accepts me as one of His sons, and He receives me with open arms.
As a mother would sing to her child, so my Savior sings to me. This makes me long for Heaven. And to think that one bright day I will be there, walking with Jesus as He serenades me with songs of love. That's Heaven, for certain.
