"I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me."

Psalm 16:8 NLT
I was up early on this cold morning...
...to spend some quiet time with the Lord. It's a part of my usual routine. I'm an early riser by nature. So today around 5 o'clock I sat alone in the privacy of my prison cell, where I began to seek my Savior's heart. And He answered me.
With a gentle voice the Lord spoke to my spirit. And with a pen in hand, and only a small amount of daylight coming through the windows as the sun was yet to fully rise, I wrote what I sensed the Lord was saying to me:
"David, you are my son, and you are a survivor. I have spared your life many times, as you already know. However, it is now time for you to move into a new realm.
"It's not your job to clean up the devil's wreckage. He made a mess. Yes, in your ignorance you helped him to do many bad things in those years long ago. But you have repented of your crimes and have sought my forgiveness. You have put to an end your relationship with the prince of darkness, and I have long since pronounced you, "Forgiven!"
"David, you're a free man. And now it's time to live with a fuller measure of freedom. Satan no longer has a grip on you, neither physically nor mentally. You know what the Scripture says, 'If the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed' (John 8:36).
"So do not allow those who hate you to cause you to experience shame, guilt, and condemnation. Be at peace with who you are now. Although you already know this, I want to remind you of these things.
"Continue to go forth in search of souls in need of salvation. Keep sharing your story of redemption. It will reach those who need to hear it, while those who are spiritually deaf and blind will continue to criticize and scoff. But that's not your problem. It's theirs.
"David, my beloved, keep walking in the newness of life. Keep going forward by faith. Remember, you're a survivor, and you are my son whom I love dearly."
Yours, forever. Jesus.
