"Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution."

2 Timothy 3:12 NLT
What can I say?
I've been called and chosen by the Almighty God to lift up His name before a very troubled world. As a man who committed terrible crimes and brought grief and pain to many, I am most unworthy to be a spokesperson for Him. And as someone who in years past foolishly pledged allegiance to the devil, much to my shame and regret, I have now become an opponent to Satan and his kingdom of darkness.
It's true. I have long since renounced my allegiance to the devil. I have repented of my many sins, and I have since fallen in love with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I'm on the Lord's side now, and I am thankful for His mercy and grace.
But with this comes attacks from those who hate me. As expected, adversity and persecution have come my way. By renouncing my past ties to Lucifer and proclaiming Jesus as my Savior and Lord, I've made some enemies. But I do, however, pray for them, as Christ says I should. I have to "love my enemies," which I am learning to do, albeit slowly. As loving them doesn't come easy. So I've put them in the Lord's hands, leaving Him to do the rest.
I am also learning to be thankful for those who speak ill of me. Although it's painful to experience their rage and hatred, it confirms that I am going in the right direction. I've made the devil angry, and he's retaliating.
It's a good sign. It shows that my story of redemption is having a good impact on the lives of those who need to hear it. What more could I ask for?
"Thank you, Lord, for using me to help further Your kingdom. I want the world to know that You are a God who forgives even the worst of criminal offenders, like I once was. To You belong honor and glory, forever."
