"This is my command - be strong and courageous!
Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your
God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9 NLT
As I step into a new year full of faith and hope in the Lord..
Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your
God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9 NLT
As I step into a new year full of faith and hope in the Lord..
I am also entering into it bruised and weary from last year's strange and prolonged trials. But I count it all joy, knowing that whatever comes my way in life, God is allowing it for my own growth.
I do hope, however, that 2025 will be easier. Yet, as I stated in my last journal entry for 2024, I believe we are now living in what the Scriptures call the "last days." And as a follower of Messiah Jesus, and being a Jew as well, I know Satan's anger towards me is especially intense. But I am not at all intimidated by him. As it says in the biblical book of the Exodus, the battle is the Lord's!
As Moses told the people, "Don't be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm." Exodus 14:13-14 NLT.
And if I may say so, I am hereby appropriating this very same passage for myself. Because the Lord does not change, the promises He made to His children thousands of years ago, are basically the same promises for His children today.
In the Scriptures, the "Egyptians" in times past, represented the enemies of God's people. While today, I would liken this to be representative of the devil and his army of demons. With Pharaoh of course being Satan. Who, as a "roaring lion," is out for the kill, while his demonic soldiers do his dirty work. Like trying to kill me, for instance! But by the grace of God, I'm still standing. Hallelujah!
