"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we
may obtain mercy, and find the grace to help in time of need."
Hebrews 4:16 KJV
By the grace of God my life is going well...
may obtain mercy, and find the grace to help in time of need."
Hebrews 4:16 KJV
By the grace of God my life is going well...
Although I've been unusually tired and weary due to various trials, challenges, and difficult circumstances, the Lord has been very kind and gracious to afford me with just enough inner strength to continue and not give up.
Even the dictionary has much to say about God's grace. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, when I looked up the word "grace," its leading definitions states as follows:
1. "Unmerited help given to people by God."
2. "Freedom from sin through divine grace."
3. "A virtue coming from God."
There were other related definitions as well. But it all began with acknowledging that grace begins with God. It's one of His divine attributes which makes up His character.
So, when it comes to having to deal with problems, struggles, or opposition from my opponents who wish me harm, and even from temptations through my own weak flesh, I am learning to thank God for all these things.
On this journey with Jesus, one learns that his struggles and hardships will allow his faith to develop and grow. They will also help him to maintain much needed humility, since man is so prone to become proud of his own achievements. He loves to boast and relish in his own strength.
Therefore, I have to say along with saints Peter and James, that even as I face painful and frustrating events and situations, and contentious people too, I should "count it all joy." It's all part of the "trial of my faith" which the word of God says is "more precious than gold that has been tested and purified by fire" (Peter 1:7).
All I could say to these spiritual truths is, "Wow and amen!"
