"Look to me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."

Isaiah 45:22 KJV
In the 45th chapter of the Old Testament's book of Isaiah the Prophet...
...the Lord was telling His people to look to Him for their needs and concerns, and even for their salvation.
The God of Israel was reminding His worried children that He made the earth and the heavens. He created mankind as well. He also promised to lead His people and provide for them. In addition, He would confound and confuse His enemies so that the nation would not be put to shame.
While at the same time, God warned that those who do not put their trust in Him, but look to idols instead, will end up being brought to ruin. They are not to be like the heathen who "pray to a god that cannot hear nor save."
Instead, the God of Israel reminds His people that "there is no God but me" (Isaiah 45:21). And He then goes on to say, "Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other" (Isaiah 45:22 ESV).
This was what I was talking about during our chapel service today. Why do we persist in worrying? Why do we stress out when an answer to one's prayer doesn't come as fast as we'd like?
I then asked, "Do we think our heavenly Father forgot about us, or that He's lost interest in His children?" Heaven forbid! The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will never forget nor ignore those who belong to Him, and love Him.
I then asked the men, what would the world be like if everyone was to seek God's advice for the needs of our planet? Or if our leaders sought the Lord on how to deal with the issues that affect and plague our nation? Or if we are having difficulty with our spouse, or a neighbor?
Imagine a world where we sought the Lord's advice for every need, or problem, or situation? I think life on earth would be different, and better. Amen!
