"For He is the living God... He rescues and saves His people..."

Here I am locked in a prison cell, and uncertain as to when we will be allowed to return to our respective work assignments and resume our daily activities. No one knows. The few correction officers, who've remained on duty, had no news to share on this third day of what has been technically termed a "lockdown."
After being fed in our cells on the first day, on the second day we were able to go to the mess hall and grab our plastic food trays and take them back to our cells. Now we're getting the chance to shower, too. Each man has been afforded the opportunity to take a quick shower and then return to his cell. And that's been it. Nothing else. But the shower sure felt good!
From what I've been told by a few officers, is that we've been fortunate to get a shower. Other facilities, they said, have "no movement at all." Meaning those individuals are in total lockdown mode. Meals are brought to each inmate's cell, and no showers. That's a hardship.
So for now it's a matter of waiting. I've been listening to the news. Reports about the strike are being made known. I know I have friends who are praying for me, and the Lord is with me too. So I'll be okay.
