We are troubled on every side yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.

It hurts!
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
It hurts!
The struggle has been so great that I cannot put it into words. Satan has been hurling his flaming arrows at me from every direction, but by God's grace I am continuing to stand. The joy of the Lord is my strength. If not for my God, I would be completely overwhelmed right now.
I must continue to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Like what happened to Joseph in the Old Testament, betrayed by his brothers and later falsely accused by an unfaithful and treacherous wife of an Egyptian of high rank, God later took this suffering man and raised him up to a position of honor. What others had meant for evil, the Lord in His mercy turned around for the good. And this to bless and save many people alive.
Moreover, I want to believe that, ultimately, God will bring some good out of my life, and this not for myself. I want to see others get blessed by my testimony and encouraged to lead better lives.
But for now, my heartache and these painful trials continue. The New York Legislature has been focusing on the so-called "Son of Sam" law once more, and this time with renewed vigor and determination. I have no problem with this, for I feel this law is just and fair. But I am caught in the crossfire, and the past is constantly being dredged up like foul smelling muck from the bottom of a contaminated creek bed.
My only recourse is to continue to pray and to seek God for His hand to move in this situation. I hate hearing about the past.
