"I will say to the prisoners, 'Come out in freedom,' and those in
darkness, 'Come into the light.' They will be my sheep, grazing
in green pastures and on hills that were previously bare."
Isaiah 49:9 NLT

And it has also been a season for the usual media storms as well. But that's nothing new. In their minds, even after almost five decades have passed, it is during this particular time of the year when various news and entertainment outlets, put out their programs on the "Son of Sam" case.
Although for them, it's only public entertainment, for me, it means the stirring up of painful memories of a time in my life when I was both a tormented soul, and a pawn of Satan himself. Even the name "Son of Sam" is nothing but a demonic moniker, which I hate. While at the same time, with God's help, I have learned to ignore it.
After all, I've no control over what the media and entertainment industries choose to do. But what I do know is that whatever the devil and his co-workers mean for my harm, God always turns those negative things around to accomplish His good purposes (Genesis 50:20a; Romans 8:28).
Therefore, whenever society is reminded of my crimes through television programs or news articles, the Lord somehow makes sure that my story of redemption advances throughout the world, as well.
In the end, the name of Jesus as Savior and Lord is proclaimed. The gospel is spread. And God wins!
