Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you
were working for the Lord rather than for people.

It's a job that encompasses a variety of tasks. Some of which are overseeing our filing system, and ordering supplies to keep our storage lockers filled with everything such as paper clips for our desks, to toilet paper for our restrooms.
I also have to take out the trash, sweep, mop and dust as needed, clean the restrooms, and help the chaplain with his book loaning library, keeping the bookshelves stocked with bibles and books. We have lots of Christian publications for the guys to take and keep. And of course there's always paperwork to do.
In addition, I also have another clerk who works part-time. When he's not in school and available, he'll come in and help in the office. He and I will pray together as well as encourage each other in our individual walks with the Lord. He's a younger man who has an extensive amount of prison time yet to do. We also get to share cups of coffee during our breaks. I thank God for such a terrific co-worker.
This is how my workdays go, which is something friends often ask. My co-worker and I know that first and foremost, we work for the Lord. But we work for the church as well, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to do so.
