This is a soggy Saturday...
It's been raining all day, but the rain is most needed in this part of the country. Today, I am going to remain indoors, resting and preparing my heart for the upcoming interview with Darrell Scott scheduled, Lord willing, for August 28th.
Earlier today I answered a letter that I received from a minister from Alabama. He had come across my testimony and felt compelled to write. He also asked me to give a few words for the men and women he ministers to at the county jail.
This is part of what I wrote for him to tell the Christians at the jail:

This is part of what I wrote for him to tell the Christians at the jail:
| “I want to encourage my brethren who are incarcerated to continue to press on with Jesus, no matter what. “Many of you who get out of jail or prison, even if you truly had a “born again” experience, will not always be accepted by churches on the outside. There will be rejection, skepticism, even hostility. You must be prepared to face these things. And you must always look only to Jesus Christ and never allow others to steal your joy or rob you of your crowns (Revelation 3:11). “I would like my fellow Christians who are incarcerated to always remember Hebrews 13:5-6. For in my opinion, this is one of the most vital Scripture passages for any person who is confined. We need to be content with such things as we have, always being grateful for God's love for us. “Jesus has promised never to leave or forsake us. Family members and friends may leave us when we mess up. But the Lord never will. He is with us. God Almighty is our refuge. We're being carried in His ever-lasting arms.” |
