I'm happy that spring has arrived…
When I look back over my many years of imprisonment, I am grateful to not only be forgiven for all my sins and crimes by the Lord, but also to be in reasonably good overall health. And this has been especially true because within the past couple of months, several men who were younger than me, passed away from cancer. I knew one of them personally. He was sixty-two.
And I am likewise grateful for the good friends I have today, both here at the prison, and many more on the outside. While in addition to this, I belong to a lively church of fellow inmates who love God, and love His Word.
All said, I have much to be thankful for, and much to rejoice about. As the sweet psalmist David declared, “Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee” (Psalm 63:3). Amen!
