"As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and
harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night."
Genesis 8:22 NLT
Well, here we are...
harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night."
Genesis 8:22 NLT
Well, here we are...
Finally, Spring! In spite of the still chilly mornings, as the Creator would have it, the weather is changing, albeit ever so slowly. And with the first hints of spring comes the awakening of my beloved tree friends, Miss Goldie and Mister Orange.
How I longed for spring to begin. With the Sun's warming rays gently falling upon them, and as God ordained it, my friends have now begun to stir back to life after several months of prolonged sleep.
How I envy them. I'd love to sleep as they do. Oftentimes, I wish that I could go to sleep right after the end of the Thanksgiving holiday in late November and stay asleep until late March or early April. Then again, I would be of no use to the Lord if I was unavailable for that long a time. So I may as well accept the fact that for me, it's better to be a human, than to be a tree.
Nevertheless, I cannot wait to see Miss Goldie and Mister Orange fully awake and in full bloom with lots of lush green leaves. That will come with summer. But for now, I'm satisfied with their sluggish entry into a new spring, after spending several months in a deep sleep.
